Brothers In Arms - Image 1

After a good number of months in hiatus, the new title from Ubisoft and Gearbox Software finally makes its presence felt again. Set for a release within the first quarter of this year, Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway is gearing up once again, as it prepares to finally invade the living rooms of PS3, Xbox360, and Windows Vista owners everywhere.

Placing gamers in the middle of the largest paratrooper operation in World War II, the story will then follow the Lead of the 101st Airborne Division, Matt Baker, and his men as they carry out Operation Market Garden. It is then up to Baker and his group to try to capture Highway 69, a.k.a. "Hell's Highway", in an attempt to give Allied Forces a chance to gain key locations, and perhaps end the war.

In the meantime, the player will have a whole roster of men at his command, each man with his own personality, story, and specialty. Assign tasks to them properly, and set up the perfect ambush, or combine their expertise in artillery for maximum damage. However, remember to keep your crew safe and intact, and know that a moving target is harder to hit. Keep moving, as staying under the cover of an object can only last so long, as your shelter eventually gets destroyed by enemy fire, just like in real life.

When not reliving those moments in 1944, though, players can instead nuke it out in a deathmatch, which features squad-based combat with more than a dozen players on each side. All via online multiplayer gameplay.

So, as we wait for further word from the guys behind this game, here are some more screenshots, as well as some characters models to inspect while we wait for March to finally get here.

Screen shots look great, but the video on their website (one with the commentary) looks very grainy, and very jumpy from framerate standpoint.

I hope it's not another COD3 on PS3. That game made me take out the barf bag.

These are not nearly new. More like a year old.

To the guy who says "we wantz RPGs", who's "we" here? Because I want both.

I have never played a BIA game, are they any good? I might check this out... i dunno. Also, those screens are really rather old, I remember seeing them a long time ago.

The first one is amazing, but I didn't really like the second one.

They are prob the only ww2 game with a fleshed out story. Realistic gore (at one point you get to see just whats left if you get hit by a plane dropped bomb in the first one after it hits one of your guys), and a very simple easy to use squad command system. Definetly worth a try and a buy for the old ones.
