Big news for all Killzone 2 players as Sony has announced that the much awaited Killzone 2 Patch 1.27 will go live tomorrow. The new patch will feature a new 'High Precision' controller configuration, a tweaked Skirmish Mode for online play , and improved overall game balance. Here is Eric Boltjes from Guerrilla Games to further explain the highlights of Patch 1.27: Most importantly, we've added functionality to make the process of finding and playing with friends much easier, tweaked the Skirmish Mode to keep it interesting for players with lower-bandwidth network connections, introduced a new "High Precision" option to the controller configuration menu, and improved the overall balance of the game. There's also a host of smaller changes as well, but I'll save that for the change log. Wow, I can't wait for this patch to go live tomorrow. Guerrilla Games also promised to have more downloadable content and more tweaks coming in the
near future. For the full details, click the source link below. Related article: |

» AWESOME!!
They removed the spawn invincibility! No more getting killed while waiting for spawners to become vulnerable! Shotgun those B*tches in the face as they spawn, this will teach tactitions to place their spawn grenades in safer places, instead of right on the objective!

I'm not sure how much of a problem this was, seeing as I only played the single player demo. But I can't see how spawn invincibility is a bad idea... Maybe they're just doing it wrong. Spawn killers ruin the whole *****ing game CoD:WaW, and a few levels in Halo 3 (I'm looking at you narrows).
What exactly was wrong with the system?

Well, they would throw a spawn grenade right on the objective, and spawn with invincibility. So they spawn, run right up to the objective and nothing can stop them. This will force spawn grenades to be placed in more strategic places instead of as close as possible to the objective.

Yeah, and now just name the objective which grants you victory by just walking up to it directly after spawning ?
