Atari's Alone in the Dark - Image 1And finally a bright ray of sunshine fills the room of those stuck in the dark. Atari has revealed to Eurogamer that the PS3 version of Alone in the Dark will NOT be delayed after all. Okay, you can all heave a sigh of relief now. It will be launched simultaneously with the PC and Xbox 360 versions.

Says Atari, it was all just a misunderstanding, that instance when a spokesperson said that the 360 and PC versions will go on ahead to the market without the PS3 one. So, all's well that ends well, huh? This doesn't mean, however, that we'll be getting to mark a specific date just yet for Alone in the Dark. Release date is still pegged at "Coming Soon Financial Year 2007/08", so you'll have to do a better job at crossing those fingers for sooner updates on this one.

But for now, bask in this wave of good news.

wow, I got to mark this day on the calendar. A PS3 game NOT delayed!? Let me tell the world! Whats the number to CNN?

of course there is still about 7 months or so for them to come back and say it is delayed. So Im still hesitant to accept this news.
