Ó

We all know that LittleBigPlanet had a bit of a bumpy road on the way to launch, but now that the game's all set to be in gamers' hands by next week, Sony and Media Molecule have started to outline a few of the upcoming LittleBigPlanet DLC that are headed for the PlayStation Store.

Most of the DLC will be paid (nothing above US$ 6 so far, though), but there will be free stuff too. The first couple of freebies will be the Launch Spacesuit and Halloween Mask costumes. These will be available only from November 6 to November 19. Yeah, the Halloween Mask costume's a bit late for Halloween, but what the hey. It's free.

Seasonal and limited time only costumes like these will pop up from time to time and will be free, so keep an eye out for them during holidays and special events.

Community costumes, i.e. the ones that made it to the winners' circle in LittleBigChallenge 003, will also be available for free. The winners are being finalized, so expect to see these costumes soon.

That's it for the free DLC. Now let's take a quick look at the stuff that you'll have to pay for. Oh, keep in mind that the devs are working to make new costumes a weekly thing, so keep checking here every Thursday for PlayStation Store updates:

SackBoy Costumes (US$ 0.99 each) - These are your ordinary, everyday SackBoy costumes. Check out the two shots below for a look at what you can expect in the future:

Premium SackBoy Costumes (US $1.99 each) - The Sephiroth and Solid Snake costumes fall under this category. SCEA has also dropped hints that characters from "outside the [PlayStation] family" will be made into downloadable costumes. A Mario SackBoy, anyone? Maybe Sonic?

Media Molecule SackBoy shirt - Image 1RARE SackBoy Costumes (US$ ?.??) - This one's a bit vague. These will apparently be "very rare items that are both only available for a certain amount of time and extremely collectible." One of these is the Media Molecule T-shirt costume you can see to the right.

Basic SackBoy Costume Bundle (US $2.99) - These bundles will feature four basic costumes for the price of... roughly three. Perfect for completists.

Premium SackBoy Costume Bundle (US$ 5.99) - Same deal as the above bundle, only this time it's for premium costumes and will revolve around a certain theme. Hey, maybe we'll see a Beauty and the Beast Corps costume bundle to complement Solid Snake. Or maybe Cloud, Barrett, Tifa, and Aeris (so SackBoy Sephiroth has someone to kill. Haha, I kid.).

And that's it for the costume DLC. There will also be additional objects, materials, stickers, sounds, music, and gameplay enhancements, but we'll have to wait a bit until those are announced.

I refuse to give Sony my CC # directly until they make the PSN card available here. Same treatment I did for M$ but Xbox cards are everywhere in here....

I think it would be cool in a future update if users were able to create costumes using a similar engine to the map creator,
like a huge sackboy on the screen and you can strategically place shapes to form suits or costumes over their body and then color it ^_^

........wishful thinking....
