LittleBigPlanet - Image 1David Smith, the co-founder of Media Molecule, has just revealed a lot of information about their upcoming PlayStation 3 exclusive: LittleBigPlanet.

In a live text interview with Eurogamer, Smith revealed that the game will be running at 30fps in 720p. In addition, he also mentioned that beta testing is already in progress, and that the game will be supporting trophies, voice chat,  and even PS Eye options.

He added that being able to have the game run at 30 fps at 720p "fits the game pretty well" since it "uses a lot of filmic techniques like depth of field and motion blur."

As for those of you who are wondering if this game will be getting a beta, the answer is a resounding "yes!" Smith revealed that the testing is already ongoing and that it should eventually "grow to include more people." The implications of this statement? It means that you might eventually get a chance to beta test this game if you're interested in that sort of thing.

Finally, he also mentioned that LittleBigPlanet will be also be getting support for trophies,  although they are still undecided as to what these trophies should be. He also spoke about having the game support both Voice over IP (VOIP) and the PS Eye. Here's what he had to say:

Well, I can tell you we have VOIP. It's really useful when you're making a level with a friend who happens to be in a different country. It fits really nicely into the game. There's some more cool stuff about this that I'm not going to go into right now. We are using the camera for some of the creative features of the game. It's a pretty powerful way of getting new content into the LBP world.

It looks like LittleBigPlanet is shaping up to be quite a game, that is, if the developers can deliver what they promised. Oh well, we'll just have to wait and see. If you want to check out the full interview for yourself, then feel free to follow our source link below.

This is one of my most-wanted games this year! I've already been in the Home beta and the Warhawk beta so why shouldn't I get this one? :)

Hey i thought that this game is a PS3 Exclusive. What i see is 720p 30fps. I don't care that much that it is in 720 because I am use to it sense every game has that as their highest resolution but shouldn't it be 1080p at 60fps. What i mean by let let down is Haze. IMO it has crappy graphics but i know graphics aren't everything but it does play a big role to me and 720p 30fps. I'm sure that this game will be pretty good I am just sad to see such low standards for a PS3 Exclusive. Anyone agree.

I have a buddy who plays it because he works for SCEE and he said the game exceeded his expectations... and he already thought it was going to be awesome
