Good news for gamers who are looking forward to the LittleBigPlanet beta test later this month. One of the game's developers has confirmed that the beta is still on track.

It's a limited public beta test, although Sony hasn't released any info on how to get in yet. According to the dev, the game is "all but complete," and they are just looking to do a test run for the game's online features before officially releasing the game.

Here's the info the dev is willing to release for now. It's pretty vague, but we'll let you know as soon as we know more:

There will be a limited public beta test for LittleBigPlanet in September.

If it will be possible to "sign up" for this test, full information on how to do so will be made public in advance of the test. Similarly if the test is going to be conducted in an invitation-only we will let you know ahead of time.
