Lost Planet - Image 1Apart from Capcom's official announcement at last year's E3, and the subsequent revelation that David Hayter will be hopping on board, not much has been known or heard about the movie adaptation of Lost Planet (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC). Thanks to Jun Takeuchi, we're learning more about the project, and what do you know, it won't be following the game's storylines after all.

Capcom - Image 1Kotaku reports that in the latest issue of Japanese gaming mag Famitsu, Capcom exec Keiji Inafune has mentioned sequels for two of Capcom's big games: Dead Rising and Lost Planet (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC). A Capcom UK rep, however, has asked everyone that Inafune's statements might not be the final word.

E3 2008: Capcom announces Lost Planet movie under development - Image 1Capcom has announced over in the E3 their plans to create a movie based on Lost Planet (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC). As if that's not interesting enough, the company also detailed that the writer in charge of this production is somebody plenty of you should be very familiar with. Here's a clue: He's a chain-smoker, wears an eye patch, and has a strange interest in cardboard boxes. More details are available in the full article.

Lost Planet PS3 gets patch update - Image 1Good news for PS3 owners who have copies Capcom's Lost Planet: Extreme Condition! Over at the publisher's blog, the company just released information that a new patch will be released. This, according to Capcom, is to ensure an increase in gameplay experience. Lost Planet gets 5 GB Installation - Image 1Heads up, gamers! The folks at PS3Style were apparently able to score a pre-release copy of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition for the PS3 from Capcom, and they were surprised to see a feature we've all heard about from Devil May Cry 4: a 15 to 20 minute install time.

Lost Planet: Extreme Condition demo temporarily removed - Image 1A multiplayer demo for the Lost Planet: Extreme Condition was available on the PlayStation Network yesterday but was taken down temporarily because of some issues.
