Right now, there's about 100,000 registered Metal Gear Online users across the globe. Think you got the mad pwnage skillz to make it right there to the top? Now's your time to make it big on the FOXHOUND scene. Maybe make it big internationally too. Konami's announced via press wire that they'll be prepping a far-reaching Metal Gear Online tourney for all of you MGS fans. The MGO World Championship 2008 event will be open to all gamers from the US, Europe, Japan, and Greater Asia. Now get this: individual regions will be holding separate regional championships. Whoever claims the throne in those mini-tournaments will get an all expense paid trip to fly to Japan and compete in the finals. And when will the finals be? The Tokyo Game Show. See? If you make it far enough, not only will you get international fame, but you get a free trip to Japan and get some first-hand experience in one of the hottest gaming events in the industry. The event is to take place across summer, with the first regional championship in the US taking place during this year's OtaCon Comic-Con at the San Diego Convention Center, July 24 to 27. Meanwhile, details on the contests for Europe are still to be announced via Konami's official MGO website, accessible through the Via source link below. Related articles:
