 If you've missed out your chance on getting the PlayStation 3 Limited Edition package of Konami's Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, then don't despair. We were able to come across the box art for the retail version of the game and all we can say is that it looks just as badass as the special MGS 4 bundle.Featured on Amazon, the PS3 retail cover art features none other than good "old" Snake in all his geriatric glory. Don't be fooled by his looks though. Just because he's padded on a couple of years it doesn't mean Snake's no longer capable of accomplishing his mission. On the contrary, we'll all get to see Snake's final hurrah this June 12. Make sure those PS3's are in tip-top shape as we bid our super espionage agent a proper sendoff. Keep coming back to this spot for more updates to Metal Gear Solid 4. |

Even if that is the real boxart, it's still awesome. This is the last mission for Solid Snake. This boxart captures everything that has happened in his life. It's simple. We don't need boxart for games that have 50 different explosions and cars and weapons all at once... And this is coming from someone who isn't even a hardcore MGS fan.

This boxart looks pretty good to me, but for some reason I don't think its going to look like this. If anyones ever played all of the older MGS games they'd know that the boxart on those games look more like someone drew it.
And you look at every single website out there like gamespot, ebgames, and IGN you'd also notice they all have different boxarts.
So in the end I think it'll look like the ones that were shown at the konami website with snake drawn with his solid eye on (which makes him look like he has 1 red eye).

Good point Eclipze. This is probably a "reference" boxart. I think Yoji Shinkawa or someone is the person who does the character designs and such, so don't be shocked if we see something similar to this.

Well what you have to do is pre-order Mgs4 if you haven't already (try and do it at EBgames or gamestop). Once you do that just go up the the front desk and ask them for the Metal Gear Saga Vol.2 bonus disc. Inside the disc case there will be a white peice of paper with a code that you'll use to download the beta from the PSstore.
For scarface_tha_second down there remember that the beta is ONLY for US, not Canada or anywhere else. But I think you still might be able to pick one up if your close enough or can buy one off ebay (but on there their going for like $150).

But I hope this Mgs goes back to the way it felt when I played Mgs2 (the story line was so damn crazy). Even the music in Mgs2 got me hyped when I played it. And I noticed somthing probably very small about Mgs4..
If you look at all the trailers so far for Mgs4 it looks like someone is videotapping it with a camcorder or somthing (you can tell the way it moves).
But I hope this Mgs goes back to the way it felt when I played Mgs2 (the story line was so damn crazy). Even the music in Mgs2 got me hyped when I played it. And I noticed somthing probably very small about Mgs4..

Although this art doesnt reveal much either, you definetly get a chance to familiar yourself with something from the game - the main protag himself. It should be interesting since you dont get very many old men playing super hero.
as an mgs fan, i clearly notice the stress and pain he's been through from war
