Ryan Payton: Metal Gear Solid 4 not coming to GDC this year - Image 1

In a recent podcast by Ryan Payton, assistant producer of the highly anticipated Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, said that the game will not be making an appearance at this year's Game Developers Conference in San Francisco.

MGS4 was present during the Leipzig Games Convention, and the recent Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The news of its absence at GDC 2008 may come as a disappointment to those who were expecting to see new stuff for the game.

However, Konami has reassured the gaming community that MGS4's Q2 release is a go, so here's hoping it's absence at GDC doesn't mean another delay for the game. For the full podcast, follow the link below.

 » Yeap

they said that they were going to stop with the trailers and get to work and get it finished (instead of spending a lot of time planning what their going to do at the next event). Cant wait till Q2 to whip some ass on metal gear online/Mgs4. But I think GDC will have lots of info that PS3 owners have been wondering about like Home and In-game XMB.

 » Aww man...

All the good stuff is at GDC...I thought MGS4 would be there if anywhere.
