PS3 Slim laptop - Image 1If you think Ben Heckendorn's modding skills are confined only to the Xbox 360, you're wrong. The guy also uses his masterful hands to turn other consoles into portable works of art. Case in point, this PS3 Slim laptop. Hit the jump for specs and a video.

Red PS3 controller - Image 1QJ reader Fade3e sent us an email to show his very own modded PS3 controller. Apparently, he saw the new blue controllers on the shelf, and realized that red would go much better with the black buttons. So, he painted the town red himself.

Boot Fetish Pong - Image 1We've seen all sorts of fun mods in the news, but this one pushes further into the borders of what you would call the usual mods. For James Larsson, playing Pong is fun, but it seemed like he believed that the game can be taken up a notch. Just like any inventor, he took matters into his own hands, and his output added a twist into Pong that explores realms that Pong was never intended to. Minors, be advised.

Megaman 2.5D - Image 1For those who haven't heard yet, Mega Man 2.5D is a fan-made project created by Swedish animator Peter Sjostrand. "2.5D" simply means that the game is right between 2D and 3D, taking Sjostrand's definition of 2.5D of course. This new vid came out earlier today, and for those who grew up with Mega Man like me, seeing MegaMan and ProtoMan work together is fangasm at its finest.

Rock Band Guitar Mod - Image 1What happens when you take a Rock Band fan, a guitar peripheral, modding skills, plus a pair of an LED emitter and receiver? You get this cool light beam guitar mod. If the strum bar was getting too low-tech for your tastes, then maybe you should make like adderd019 and turn your boring old peripheral into tomorrow's plaything? Video after the jump.

Crimson Echoes to stop at 98% completion - Image 1Even if Chrono Trigger stands as one of the best RPGs ever to come out the then Squaresoft bag of tricks, you might say that Square Enix didn't follow-up on the fame as well as the fans would like. So along came Chrono Trigger: Crimson Echoes, a fan-created ROM hack sequel to the time-travelling adventures of Crono and company. Unfortunately for the devs of the project, Square Enix just whipped out the dreaded C&D order, demanding that they destroy the 98% complete project. You might feel as bad as I do especially after you watch the trailer.

Ben Hecks - Image 1Well if you don't have strong legs to kick out a beat on Guitar Hero's drum pedals, Ben Heckendorn (Ben Hecks) has another mod to make life easier for you. Taking a GH: World Tour drum kit's kick pedal, he modified it into something that allows you to simply blow on a tube to register bass kicks. He did this mod as a request from someone who uses a wheelchair.

Street Fighter 4 custom game pad - Image 1It's always amazing how far people can go to show their love for their favorite game. Like the other day, a guy actually wanted to bomb Hudson for falling short of his expectations hahaha! But nevermind him, he's nuts, and that's a different story altogether. Let's just admire the work of this Street Fighter IV (PS3, 360) fan who built his own arcade-style game pad on a wooden table.

Perfect combo! - Image 1The XCM Dominator Joystick for the PlayStation 3 is an arcade stick that allows you to store and pull off combos -- all in just one button! Now if this really works, then gone are the knuckle-crackin' days gamers have from hours after hours of trying to get that perfect kill.
