You never know what's in store when Hideo Kojima and his crew are working on something, and because we know some are paranoid about the development Konami Digital's Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, here's Kojima Productions Assistant Producer Ryan Payton talking about control schemes, flashbacks, monkeys in pants, and not screwing with the fans.

As those keeping tabs on the game have seen before, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots offers both over-the-shoulder and first-person modes. According to Payton, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater's controls and camera received negative feedback, so the developers are making sure to please everyone with what's supposed to be Snake's last mission. Japanese gamers who aren't experienced with FPS games can make use of auto-aim, while there's free look for everyone else.

Another cool feature the devs added is the flashback button during cutscenes, which allows players new to the series to view related movies from previous MGS titles and figure out what's going on. Nobody says it better than Payton, so find out more by watching the embed below.
