At last year's E3, Konami revealed that work on a live-action movie based on Metal Gear Solid is now underway. We all found out about this via a pamphlet for Studio Kojima, the development house headed by Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima. We're working with the Metal Gear guys.... It's a very cinematic game, it really lends itself to movie telling. But the question is, How do you translate Snake's experience into a full arc that conforms to what audiences expect on the large screen? |

It says right underneath the embedded clip:
"We're now asking you folks: Should we all be hopeful? Should we expect something that is miles away from the fan-made film we embedded above?"
QJ write the stuff for you to read, not for you to ignore and claim 'ZOMG, This looks *****, what have they done to MGS!?!'. And, for a fan-made film, it isn't actually that bad (and yeah, the girl playing Meryl looks a lot like Tifa...lucky Snake :-p).
Let's just hope the ACTUAL film will do Kojima-san and his team proud and respect the MGS franchise.

man if this movie is made my people, it will take long and have to get alot of ideas to copy the game and it may sucks after release
If they use 3D movie, it will be easy to make the movie the same as the game (voice, faces etc)

I think the movie should start with MGS3. We can then, without confusion, follow the story up to MGS4. I doubt that Sony will make the films all the way up to MGS4, but still, they should start with MGS3. And in the end of the fan-made film, it says "Cold War Beginning" under the date. That might be a hint.

They make this movie in JApan and then give us a subtitleed version. American action movies have been mostly trash for the last 15 years. the Japanese make much better action movies. Maybe they make everyone in the game the nationality they are in the game (doubt it), and shot it with a japanese director, and crew.
I can tell you right now, if this movie dosen't at least have a japenese director, it will suck, period.

Wow there are a lot of *****s. I know why too. They are just a bunch of "HALO" p.u.s.s.i.e.s that are whining because "HALO" is now probably never gonna be produced as a movie. "HALO" is so g.a.y. I love bashing on "HALO". You know why? "HALO" fans always have a g.a.y a.s.s comeback. I mean c'mon a person who needs a weapon. Master Chief, "I need a weapon." is pretty retarded.

i think this is made by a MGS fan from Taiwan as a school project. Its actually pretty old. I saw this on you tube a year or so ago
