The latest update for Evolution Studios and Sony Computer Entertainment's MotorStorm is now out in the UK. The update brings a host of new features and options to the PlayStation 3 launch title, including a new proximity meter in MotorStorm mode that works like the one in the game's Eliminator mode.

Update 3.1 will also let MotorStorm players switch between the game's traditional 3D vehicle select screen and a 2D grid of the vehicles. This should speed up the selection process somewhat. To mix things up a bit and give the tracks a semi-fresh coat of paint, update 3.1 also lets players choose mirrored tracks.

Finally, the update also comes with two new music tracks: Devil's Crossing by Elite Force and Beat the Devil by Jiffster (featuring Bard).

If yes, then WOW! I WANT that right now! the 2d for selection is great, even if personnally, I would have installed the 3dbackground and cars on the HDD so it can load it lighting speed fast. Who was not tired to see the models load when you have 15 sec. left online? lol.

Mirrored trakcs is a great way to give us tons of new stuff in an instant! lol. Still, they should also do reverse tracks (they would just have to change the jumps and some stuff, this would take 2-3 days only).

For the music I don't care. I don't like the muic in this game, they SHOULD add the "select your music" option! Then the music would rule, lol.

And finally, the thing I wanted he most isn't there... 2 player split-screen... :'( I suppose they'll never add it.

Bah, anyway, the update is looking sexy, I can't wait to try this in america! :D

Sigh, while it's a good update and it's nice to see them continually adding stuff. We still don't have splitscreen multiplayer. They HAD BETTER HAVE IT IN MS2! Which is said to already be in production.
