Namco Bandai's old-school arcade game collection for the PSN will finally arrive in North America six months after it hit Japan. A new Namco Bandai Home Destination will also launch alongside the collection.
Released in Japan as Namco Museum.comm and re-branded for the US as the more normal sounding Namco Museum Essentials, the collection will feature five classic arcade games -- Pac-man, Galaga, Dig Dug, Dragon Spirit, and Xevious -- along with an HD Xevious remake called Xevious Resurrection. Namco Museum Essentials will come with full Trophy support and worldwide online leaderboards, and will let players earn Home items as rewards. Launching simultaneously with the collection is a dedicated Namco Bandai PlayStation Home Destination section. This'll feature a a virtual arcade where players can access a trial version of Namco Museum Essentials, collect 50 PlayStation Home classic Namco and The Idolm@ster items, and view media and trailers. Both the collection and the Home space will launch next month. Related articles: |

Sorry dude, the PR we got was for US only. It's still a month away though, so they still have time to announce a Euro release. :)
