Logo of Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto IV - Image 1It's certainly bad enough that the PS3 version of Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto IV (Xbox 360, PS3) won't be getting the episodic downloadable content promised on the Xbox 360 release of the game. To complicate things a bit further, Microsoft's Vice President of Interactive Entertainment Don Mattrick mentioned that the multiplayer elements of the game might even possibly be an Xbox 360 exclusive. Resistance: Fall of Man for the PlayStation 3 packshot - Image 1The game Resistance: Fall of Man by Insomniac Games is one of the most popular games on the PlayStation 3, and recently, it has been announced that a multiplayer update has been released. This patch is a godsend to players, and most especially to fans of the game.

The multiplayer update adds a lot of small changes, however the more important ones include two new game modes, a bug fix for the 40 player matches, and the addition of round balancing. The two new game modes are Team Conversion and Team Assault.

Round balancing, however, may be the most significant change, as this basically balances the number of players on each team at the end of every round when this feature is toggled on. However, parties will not be split up, so this is good as you're assured that your team of trained killers won't be broken up.

To download the patch, you just simply pop in your R:FoM disk and select Multiplayer Game. The program should then automatically download. If the patch is not enough and you want more maps, a map pack is coming in April.

ratchet and clank - Image 1Insomniac games has just started a fresh project on their official site which lets fans get a glimpse at just what goes on in the internal gears of game development through a netcast.

The program, called the "Full Moon Show," has several segments which will provide gamers with an "irreverent" view of what goes on in the world of video games through an entertaining session cut up into several parts.

The first segment is called "Mystery Guest," and as the name suggests, an unidentified games personality will be interviewed by Insomniac about his views on game-related topics. The guests will not be Insomniac personnel, which makes the mystery part even more exciting.

Next is the "I Want Your Job" segment which features a different Insomniac employee every episode and interviews him regarding his position. This segment hopes to show game fans around the world what it's like to actually work for a game outfit.

There's also the "online update" feature where everyone can find news on the latest developments regarding their favorite Insomniac titles and the "Mailbag" portion where gamers can ask questions to the gamemakers themselves to shed light on topics that gamers are itching to know about.

Insomniac is popular for its marquee Ratchet and Clank series during the PS2 era and is now set to release the PS3 chapter to the celebrated platform franchise.
