If we get the release on time, and it's looking good, then if anything the European launch will be sooner than expected. The U.S. release was never certain but September at best, so that's only 2 months delay. So in the end, the only delay is for Japan, and those few who might have managed to get one through import.
In the meantime, the boatload of games info we'll get on E3 should tide us over a fair bit. By then we'll probably also start hearing the final specs, and we'll have all that Revolution gossip to deal with too. It will be interesting to see the two launch at around the same time. Should create a fair bit of fuss.

This is tottally ausome. I knew the PS3 would easily beat the xbox360, but i didn't think it would crush it! I mean 60gb HDD!!!! That a hell of a lot of memory and for somthing only 2.5inches. And the online service is going to be free and as good as the xbox live! It totally ausome!!! And i can still use my old gamespy account! I love sony for everything! The deley disapointed me but when I learned all the details about it today i wuz amazed and now i just can't wait!

Dude...gamespy != xbox live....gamespy is one of the worst pieces of software i've come accross and would much rather use a developers in game matching system rather then it.
Oh yeah, and laptops have been using 2.5 inch HD's for a very long time now, so is the xbox360 oh my!! you made it sound so special because sony was using it...

Saying the word "would" implies the past tense. PS3 has just finished dev. All I gotta say is that Sony hasn't done ANY crushing with PS3 yet. Keep that kind of talk tucked away for now.

with 60gig hdd as standard i'm very happy, yes the best 2.5 inch drives are now 160gigs but i think 60 is enough to be getting on with.
linux as os... that's crazy! sony and their 'firmware updates' will be almost useless, people can make homebrew for linux so easily. in a way it's a clever way to combat nintendo's little downloadable back catalogue, cos we can just run n64 emulators on the ps3... i hope.

I'm not sure if M$ should make Live completely free. I do think they should allow the old Xbox games to be played free through silver. I don't care about the delay anymore, I need time to save up some money anyway, and I'm sure a lot of other people do too.

Gamespy totally kills xboxlive in every category. I use gamespy, been a member for years and its a great service for PC games. If the PS3 uses the same system as PCs then it would not only be better but much more stable. No more having an xbox host a server and everyone connect to it, just connect to a dedicated server. I dont doubt PS3 games will support 64+ players like PC games do.
Linux as an OS was a shocker to me. They really are putting out great potential for homebrew if they allow access.

are u saying that is too little or a very good amount?, personally i thinks its great beacause my Dell Demension 2400 pc only has 33.3 Gb and are ypu sure this gamespy is a good online service i have no experience with it.
