News has it that THQ will be making an announcement regarding a brand new WWE video game this Friday, on March 28, 2008. This particular statement will follow that 6th Annual Superstar Challenge that will be happening at the House of Blues.

16 wrestling Superstars will be taking place in an elimination tournament. No, no, there will be no ring in the middle of the place. The participants will be vying for the top spot by playing the Xbox 360 version of Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, DS, PSP). Elijah Burke will be defending his title against the other Superstars.

As for the announcement to be made, we're thinking that THQ will be introducing the coming of Smackdown vs. Raw 2009. So with that said, better keep your eyes glued to this space for a follow-up. And that's the bottom line.
