Like other developers who released big titles on the PlayStation 3, Capcom has had its share of questions about if and when Trophies will be implemented on their games. The response is a mix of good and bad as the future seems to be the number one priority for the company.

For the record, Devil May Cry 4 and Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix  are not getting the Trophies which so many players covet. Capcom says that DMC4already has a Trophy-like system while SPF2THDR's team has already moved on to other projects.

As consolation, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix may have Trophies. Capcom says this is dependent on scheduling and Sony's requirements. On a brighter note, Capcom said that all future releases will include the feature.

There you have it. Like Call of Duty 4, Resistance, and Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, Capcom's previous releases won't support Trophies. Rather disappointing, but let's move on and hope the best is yet to come.

 » hmm

can anybody explain to me what a Trophy is? and what it is for..?

 » Well...

its suppose to be Sony's attempt at Achievements which can be found on the XBOX360, however with a twist! You get the "Trophy" for completing certain tasks throughout a game (just like Achievements on the 360) but the twist is that its not just attaining these goals, you actually level up your profile with the more "Trophies" you unlock.  » so?

I couldn't care less about trophies, just like achievments.

Are people supposed to brag to each other about their accomplishments in a game or something?

I know that a lot of people are into them. If Sony wants to mirror or improve the "Achievement" system, then the first thing they need to do is ensure that ALL games support them. Not only encourage, but somewhat "force" third parties to patch the games up. If not, I suggest just buying all the multiplatform games on the 360. I can't support Sony if they are fragmenting their community and games.

First it was Qore, with the Playstation network basically becoming two-tiered and now with the division on games that support trophies and games that don't. Sony needs to find consistency across the board.

Oh, and scrap one of the SKU's. After slighting Microsoft for their (at the time) two SKU model, then doing it yourself, Sony looks like a joke.

I won't lie. I was hooked on Stardust HD the moment those trophies kicked in. I think I'll turn into a trophy whore. They just add so much life to the game!

» im with you ShGill, trophies add more

to me its just more to do, the are setting objectives and you complete them, they are like side quests and for some people they can become the meat of the game play. if you dont like trophies or achievements then just don't bother with them but for those of us that appreciate them we will have a bit more fun with our games.
