From the storys I heard it seems that may be something every ps3 owner might need one.
From the stories I heard it seems that may be something that no PS3 owner would need.
The ps3 is using liquid coolant. And Gamespot editors already had their hands on the retail version of the ps3, and after 2 hours of show ( for us :D ) they said the ps3 did normal heat, and they compared the the xbox 360 saying the ps3 does not heat at all compared the the back of the xbox 360. ( dah, instead of a fan, a coolant is WAY better ).
PS: we'll know if the ps3 can handle more than 24hours in a row and someone will have done it! so prepare to have fun!!
at least I'll have :D but not before 2k7 ( I'll wait for the games I want, I dislike the launch game... only motor storm is looking good for me )
Liquid cooling requires a fan... to cool off.. the liquid..
Hey I saw that same show and watched it with a big smile on my face but that was one of the PS3 with the word "Test" on it and not the retail version. None the less it was running cool and had that amazing controller range :D
For one it doesnt use the same interface to connect like the Xbox360.
The Xbox360 power brick supplies power to the Xbox360 unit and therefor powers the Nyko Cooling unit as well.
This one however will just be drawing power from the AC outlet and not the Power supply of the PS3 unit unless they are powering through USB.
Better for the system? Of Course.
Like the Xbox 360 Intercooler, this one plugs into the back of the PS3, and uses the same power pass-through system. ??
