"If Genji shows what we can achieve with a launch title..."
That really doesn't say much, seeing as Genji was totally unimpressive visually and the gameplay sucked...
The gameplay sucked, but the graphics were not bad at all.
Genjis graphics were awsome the rest of the game just sucked.
If they keep "harnessing the PS3's power" someday you may have graphics and gameplay to match the 360. Go hypestation 3!
Is this really newsworthy? I mean every developer on every console is gonna say the same thing after all they are not going to say IN OUR NEXT GAME WE WILL BE USING LESS PROGRAMMING SKILLS THAN IN THE PREVIOUS GAME now are they.
how Mr. Common Sense can say such an un-common-sense comment :D
Everybody is referring to the PS3 as the hardest to program for, but even with that barrier many devels are getting awesome first gen games. I dont see that X360 has anything like MotorStorm, F1 CE. X360 gamers even had to wait a full year to get they most valuable gem, Gears of War while PS3 got something comparable, RFoM, in launch day.
I know you're offended when somebody called Mr. Common Sense points out the many many flaws of your favorite console, but I'm more of a consumer advocate trying to keep people from wasting their money.
Resistance started development around the time of Gears of War. If the PS3 had launched when originally planned, there would only be 2 or 3 horrible launch games with it. You think the games are awesome but that's compared to the PS2 you're used to. They just don't compare to the XBOX 360. There's no off road racing games on the 360 yet, so what I don't see a star trek game or a unique game like viva pinata on the PS3 so what's the point? Now you're saying the XBOX 360 needs a ripoff of every game on the PS3 now?
I love it when you get under these fanboys skin Mr.Commom Sense. Watch them clutch at straws with the same useless arguments. 1. Are launch titles are better. and 2. Just wait, just wait until they uinleash the power. BS. Motorstorm cant even run in splitscreen FFS, because the PS3 cant handle it. And Rastadatar, everyone is also refering to the PS3 as a failed console.
I must agree that you are overestimating Motorstorm since it has been confirmed to be only 32 FPS etc,I think if you look at the specs for Forza 2 which is released in March for the 360 it has 60 FPS so something is not looking right somewhere down the line,I also go by facts and on this occasion you will see that Motorstorm and Gears of war were indeed both on show(development) at the 2005 E3 show and apart from the Blu Ray drive failing(which would not stop development) the rest of the machine is as far as I know exactly as it was in 2005,and to say the 360 has nothing like such and such a game thats is not even released yet for the PS3!!! surly you are shooting yourself in the foot as the PS3 does not have yet have them either.
Mr. Common: First, I have nothing against x360 I even like it, but I wanted to state that you sound like a fanboy trying to bash PS3 when there are already several impressive games that showcase what this console can do. I seriously doubt that x360 can keep PS3 pace in the long run.
eh: Well MotorStorm looks impressive, everybody says that, even japanese gamers agree :D and you cant campare MotorStorm with Forza 2, those are diferent kind of games. If you need to compare do it using GTHD demo, which is already in many PS3 around the world but to be fair you must wait for GT5.

The advantage of being asked to, or taking the initiative to, create a launch title is that not only do you have that opportunity to come to terms with a console's potential (despite, of course, the time pressure to make it to launch), you also have a product to show for it.
