This week's Blu-ray releases scream a couple of things: Christmas holidays and John McClane. Yup, the holidays are drumming ever so near and it's not surprising to see a couple of movies about the plump jolly man in a red suit on the shelves. Another big release we have for this week would be the Die Hard series titles.
In case action or holiday themes don't quite suit your taste, there are a smattering of other titles for your Blu-ray entertainment systems this week. We've got some Hairspray for industrial strength hairdos and some Viking versus Native American action to spice up this week's list. Anyway, on to the Blu-ray releases for this week.
  
Detective McClane has the (unlucky) knack for being at the right place at the wrong time. We first met John McClane back in 1988 and we know he's still going strong from the last Die Hard movie, Die Hard 4: Live Free or Die Hard. We've seen him against different kinds of movie terrorists (hostage takers, hijackers, a crazy bomber, and hackers) and impossible odds. When you're a tough cookie, dying is not one of the choices you'd make.
Next in the list comes some light wholesome family entertainment with the third installment of The Santa Clause, The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause. This time, Santa has to deal with a good number of things: be there when Mrs. Claus gives birth, have the extended family over to the North Pole (and have them think that it's really a Canadian toy factory), and try to prevent Jack Frost from stealing Christmas. That's more multitasking than anyone could handle. And did we mention he has to deliver gifts for Christmas?
In Pathfinder, we see several struggles. For survive, for land, and for honor. Ghost is a Viking that was adopted into a Native American tribe. Who will he help in the fight for territory? His native people, the Vikings, or the people who adopted him?
