We've got some major heroes on board this week, from those serving the country in full honor and glory, to childhood heroes. Marshmallow Men busting ghost agents (Ghostbusters: The Video Game), WWI fliers, they're all in this week's On Shelves list. Dig in and enjoy.
America's Army 3 - If you want to get a feel of what it's like to be in the army minus the hazards of the job, then you might want to check out this third edition of the military simulation game, America's Army 3. Explore and dominate challenges from basic training to Special Forces Assessment and Selection to Special Forces Qualification Course. Choose your career paths well for your character, cos they are persistent on their own.
Big League Sports: Summer - It's time for some fun under the sun! Summer's here, but who says you have to burn your skin just to have a good time? BLS: Summer brings the outdoor games right into your home such as tennis, beach volleyball, gold, soccer, baseball and football. I know, nothing beats the real thing, but just in case you can't go out of the house, then this would be a good alternative for you.
Eduardo the Samurai Toaster - It's good ol' platformer fun with vsuals drawn and scanned in from a variety of art mediums. Are you a pen & ink person, or acrylic and charcoal? They're all set here for one big visual fest as you make your way through hurdles of Peking Opera pastries, spear toting carrots and robotic mangos. Yes, it's sure to be fun as it's sure to sound weird.
Emergency Room: Real Life Rescues - Imagine Trauma Center, but on the go. You're a rescue staff charged with the care of the victims that call for your help. Not for the weak-kneed and faint-hearted. You're gonna need all your focus to save a life. They depend on you.
Flower, Sun, and Rain - As pansy as the title may sound, this is actually a mystery adventure game that falls smack on Groundhog Day. There's a bomb in the area and you have to find and defuse it before it wreaks irreparable havoc to the town. Unfortunately, Bill Murray won't be here to help you straighten out the puzzle.
Ghostbusters: The Video Game - Who you gonna call? Oh come on, we all know there's only one group to call when ghosts, ghouls and evil spirits pay a visit to our town. It's the comic quartet that's dead-serious with business of -- you guessed it! Busting ghosts.
Guitar Hero: Smash Hits - And here we have another one from Activision's oober-popular franchise, Guitar Hero. Does this game even need any more introduction?
Hurry Up Hedgehog! - The hedgehogs have got to come home, and you are tasked to maneuver them to safety, away from the critters, hazards and other cunning creatures in the garden.
Hysteria Hospital: Emergency Ward - It's Scrubs, or House, or Grey's Anatomy or Doogie Howser, M.D. Whichever hospital setting it is, you're in the Emergency Room and surrounding you are hysteric patients with one ailment or another. It's a war out there, and it's up to you to be in charge and keep control.
Let's Tap - It's a tapping game, yes, but it's not a Tap Dance game. Intead, you make use of the Wiimote by placing it on a box or flat surface, and there the controller will detect minute vibrations. So what do you do? You tap.
PDC World Championship Darts - If you wanna be in among the Pros, then rise to the challenge by taking on 16 of the greatest dart players, in single and multiplayer matches. There are only three learning curves: Amateur, Professional and Master - but this does not mean in anyway it's gonna be easy as pie, cos the curves are sure to have humps along the way as well.
Phantom Brave: We Meet Again - This turn based strategy RPG incorporates unique battle styles and a character customization system that you will definitely love. Lead character Marona has the ability to summon ghosts and monsters as battle units to have them fight her battles for her. It all depends on your strategic skills, of course, if you can beat the enemies.
Rise of Flight: The First Great Air War - Real wars are never fun. But just in case you're looking for some action-packed thrill, then this WWI Flight Simulation game might do the trick for you.
Roogoo Attack - Planet Roo is under attack by the evil Meemos! It's up to you to save the planet and all its citizens by navigating and guiding the meteors (in other words feeding) to the planet so that it may continue to live.
Sword of the Stars: Argos Naval Yard - Argos Naval yard is actually an expansion to Sword of the Stars, and here there are three new scenarios and various new technologies to help you out in exploring and exploiting the galaxy. Quite a mission, huh.
