We just reported earlier about the rather belated news of the expulsion of a Chinese student. He was expelled from Clements High School because he was spotted playing a game of Counter-Strike on a map that, according to the police, was based off of his own high school's floor plan. |

they over react cause his chinese damn racist
Who knows the real reason that he even made the floor plans to his high school? Maybe he wanted to vent out on people online using high school floor plans? Honestly, I think taking precaution may have been a better way to do it, but I don't think expulsion wasn't the worst idea that was made. If it was a white kid, I'm sure they'd put up some disciplinary actions as well. I'm not advocating for any ethnicity here, if anything they should take these same precautions with all races.
Freedom of speech is great and all, and I generally have no problem with people making CS maps, but making one of your HS is just asking for trouble and is completely unnecessary. What message could you possibly be giving off with that other than "I hate someone at my HS and want to create their death in a virtual game and maybe kill them in real life"?
I just don't agree with the mild racism, they are taking this a bit too far just because he is asian
"making one of your HS is just asking for trouble and is completely unnecessary."
I dunno, I think it depends on who will be playing the map. Maybe it's your school buddies playing with you, and you find it fun to play in a map that you know so well in real life. It doesn't mean your practising killing your friends... it's like saying if you play GTA San Andreas and you live in LA then your playing a murder simulator, I don't buy it.
I'd also like to know when the map was created? was it before the V-Tech killings?
For someone leaving outside of America, I would say that it all sounds a bit blown out of proportion because of the killings
How do the police get tipped off about something like this....really ?
For those siding with "the man" i'd think again. I've made CS maps resembling my university as well as my workplace. It has nothing to do with hating or wanting to kill the workers/students at said places. Quite to the contrary it is only to have a familiar surriounding that you and your friends can play in.
Also, maybe he was playing on the CT side and was actually SAVING his school from the dreaded terrorists....geez...
open up a window, you need some air. :)
Some times the architecture of place makes me want to see if I can rebuild it in Hammer. My collage is no difference...
A college student who doesn't know how to spell college. What the hell has this world come to?
People become paranoid when something bad happens.
