PlayStation Home logo - Image 1If you're starving for news on how PlayStation Home is going along, we've got some fresh word off the PS3 Forums. The PS Home Beta for both Europe and North America has been updated to version 0.7.7 and some cool additions have been made. Here they are:

  • There's a new building in the world, although it's currently one that can't be entered
  • You are finally able to enter your Home Space's patio
  • You can now use your own pictures in your Home Space
  • A game launching option has been added, though it is not functioning completely at the present time
  • The cinema's movie theatres have transferred from the second floor to the first floor
  • America, Japan, and Europe each have their own server now
Here's hoping that more cool stuff will be added to Sony's virtual world to come. The project looks very, very nice and we're all looking forward to its launch.

ps3 n00bs have something to look forward to! I mean, there is no point in owning a ps3 yet, but this may change my mind. Until then, Sony has yet to prove why the ps3 should exist.

DMANV why are you so gay. you post some stupid stuff on every article. now f**koff and get a life. start by moving out of your mums basement first

   Re: Khjar - 2007-11-28
 » No point

Lol, you can own one to say you have one.
Not to mention its a cheap blu-ray player and home entertainment system... "it also plays games!"

   Re: -God- - 2007-11-28
 » An advice from above.

At least the PS3 didn't have a massive hardware like the Xbox 360, and didnt cost the company more than 1 billion dollars to repair every console which would have the same problem again.

so japs and euros cant play together now?

or did the jest get dedicated servers?

   Re: Vecha - 2007-11-28
 » funny...

you mention racism and use the word 'jap'

   Re: Sam Stone - 2007-11-28
 » Huh?

So right, let me get this straight....it's more racist to say "japs" then "euros"?

Can you please tell me why?

Why is "japs" more racist?

   Re: Khjar - 2007-11-28
 » D:

"Japs" was used in WWII or whatever and many of Japanese heritage do not approve the use of it, seeing it as condescending. As for euros, thats like saying asians, which you can't shorten like you can european. Its like you can't shorten American, or you would. You can shorten mexican to mex, but they don't approve of that either. (Oh look! Country similarity, so no "us" ok?) (If you didn't get the last joke... usa...->us... kthxbai)

it's a closed beta. Selected members had to sign up ages ago for a spot and they're testing it.

 » Not yet Stealth

It`s currently in Beta, being tested by a select few. It`s not available to the general masses

This seems like an unimpressive changelog to me.

There's a new building in the world, although it's currently one that can't be entered.

You are finally able to enter your Home Space's patio
You can now use your own pictures in your Home Space.

A game launching option has been added, though it is not functioning completely at the present time.

The cinema's movie theatres have transferred from the second floor to the first floor.

Oh well, better than nothing and free, I can't complain. This isn't what I'm looking forward to anyway. I just hope comes with ingame XMB access that I AM looking forward to.

   Re: jrm125 - 2007-11-28

Yea, I feel like it shouldn't be THAT hard...Rock Band has it...I tried it last night, works perfectly. You can of course only access your friends and messages, chats, etc but really, what else would you need?

   Re: Sinborn - 2007-11-28
 » Was there a changelog?

I don't think so. A good majority of that thread is comprised of blurbs about everything -but- the patch, without an official transcript of the changes in sight. However, it'd be safe to assume that the patch did a lot of behind-the-scenes bugfixing rather than in-your-face changes to the environment.

 » hmm

They are taking their time thats for sure...anyway if it means quality improvments then what the hell.

Meanwhile I have at least 6 games I want to buy by the holiday's not to mention another 10 until March (June and MGS4 I cant stand the wait anymore!!!), so Home would be a disruption right now let them have their time...
