Games once again took center stage in the PS3 blog this week, and not just the retail titles too. PSN downloadables also took their time in the spotlight, especially Final Fantasy VII, which proved extremely bankable even after more than a decade. This right here is why Square Enix won't ever stop milking the Final Fantasy franchise.

Meanwhile, the hardware front was full of firmware news -- a new one came out this week and another one is being rumored, although Sony's nipped the FW 3.0 rumors in the bud. Another rumor that Sony put to rest was the one about PS Cloud. Still, the debunked rumors only gave way to more rumors.
