Logitech Driving Force Pro

If the PS3's Sixaxis controller seems a little too confusing to you and you'd prefer to play a racing game just like you did in the good old arcade gaming days, then you're in luck. Peripheral making legends Logitech have announced that they will be shipping the GT Force RX steering wheel to Japanese retailers in the technological capital of the world on November 11. This precision racing peripheral will be retail for 9,980 yen, which works out to be about $ 84 USD.

How can I call the GT Force RX steering wheel a "precision racing peripheral" without even trying it or in fact, without even seeing it? If you have ever played a racing game before, or were a fan of the Gran Turismo series on PS2 then you have probably heard of Logitech's steering wheels; in particular the Driving Force Pro. Logitech's spinning wheel's offer the best in precision, rumble, and simulation technology, giving you a life like feel that is unprecedented in relation to other manufacturers. No mention of a US version has hit the press yet, but with the PS3 launch just around the corner, expect a release date soon.

Will this be wireless you think?
I know if there is force feedback then it will probably need to be plugged into the mains like all the others, but what about the connection from this to PS3.

 » I was hoping

I was really hoping that my DFP that I ALREADY OWN would work with my PS3 (after all it is USB). From the sounds of it, it won't. This really sucks. I really didn't want to have to change wheels on my racing ***** pit every time I want to switch from my PS2 to my PS3.

» Will work on PS2 games

The wheel is designed fo PS2 games. So it will work for all PS2 games that support the DFP.

Support for PS3 games? its unknown at this time.
