Spider-Man 3 - Image 1The third Spider-Man movie is slated for a worldwide release on May 4 (although Ryan A.'s already watched it thanks to the magic of advanced screenings). To coincide with the film's theatrical release, the multiplatform Spider-Man 3 video game will also be released on the same day for all of its target consoles.

Well, that was the plan anyway. European PS3 owners will have to wait longer to experience the game on their next gen consoles. According to Pro-G, Activision UK has confirmed that the PS3 version of Spider-Man 3 has been delayed for two weeks and is now slated for a May 18 release. No reason was given for the delay.

We'll keep you guys updated as soon as more details surface.

 » wtf?

Why should they do that? The ps3 is region free so its nothing to do with needing to re-encode it. Why can't they just admit that they cant produce enough or any at all or at least some explanation.

actually u will find that the reason for its delay looks like it was to put a region code on it mainly on the uk version of the game, i know sony have said the machine is region free but that has not seemed to stop the stupi games company from coding it them selves. i know this coz i have just bought the game and it is not supported with the jap ps3 however i have plenty of other uk games that are....so much for sony seeing sense in making it non region, now all that needs to happen is for the actual game makers to stop being pricks and stop coding the games to onluy play on certain regions.

look at the different theories, each person says they know why the delay is happening.
