The fact that the Wii and 360 sold out means Nintendo and Microsoft didn't do their homework and ended up losing money because of it. I applaud Sony for having more than enough console on hand for the launch. The only downside is that our friends across the pond didnt get to stock up and ebay a few like I did. There is nothing sweeter than capitalism and getting your own PS3 for free because rich people gotta have it now!

The reason that Sony didn't launch world wide right away is because they couldn't build enough systems, that is their fault. Nintendo was smart and got their system out around the world right away so that people could try it and know that it would be better and so that they would wait for there to be more systems. It is all sonys fault for not being able to produce enough systems to go world wide at launch.

Yeah there is no revenge to be had. The PS3 is more expensive than both the other consoles and it owned them both at launch in the UK. It will catch up here in the US and Japan. It is WAAAAAY too early for anyone to say PS3 this or that. What I can say with certainty though is .... Let's wait and see shall we? The technology is there for PS3, but I think the developers just didn't have the experience yet. It's just too early to tell. but I have all the PS3 titles (Well, the ones I care about thus far) and I haven't been dissapointed at all. I think this machine is pretty amazing. But, like anything else time will tell. I don't agree that the Wii is all that at all. I've played it, b ut it looks too cartoony and like something for children (Which is why it sells so much) but SONY and MS would be my first choices as a 30 something year old. (Which I AM!) I've owned just about every system that has come along, and I will honestly tell you PS3 will eventually take over. (Consider all the stuff thats built right in and you have a mini supercomputer of sorts) I've also had computer rigs (By far the ultimate game machines) but they cost thousands of dollars. As well as DVD players and such. Anyone that tells you the PS3 isn't worth it just can't afford it. (Even though I know that these people are probably the same ones that say IPODS and Plasma screens aren't worth it. and anything high tech (Read pricy) is no good). We all know that's not true. I suggest everyone do like I did when I was a kid. Get a job and save up for it!!! No one handed me these friggin things! and said hey you look like you'd enjoy an expensive item, have it, it's on me! And let's not forget what these things are for.... TO have some fun with. Which is why (Even though I am a SONY fan) I think if any game machine makes you happy and you forget about work and your problems for a while and enjoy it.... (PS3 is my particular Medicine) then you should have it!!!! WE win as well as the companies that them. After all I don't believe that the boards of directors at MicroSoft, NINTENDO or SONY are starving to death anyhow.Take care and good gaming all!!!!!

The XBOX 360 will still be going strong in 2009. You might start hearing rumors about the new XBOX, but it will still be a ways off. Maybe the PS4 can actually deliver 1080p @ 60fps native resolution as promised by that time.
