PlayStation Home - Image 1

After that batch of screenshots we saw yesterday showing us more of PlayStation Home's latest build, a bit of new word came in from no less than PSN senior director Susan Pamico. She spoke about when and how the virtual world will launch and compared it to a popular email service.

While there's some concern coming from fans about how long it will take for the new service to launch, Pamico assured the public that Home is still on track to go out this year, most likely in beta form.

"Rollout will be similar to Gmail," she told online magazine Qore. For those who didn't get her drift, she's referring to an open, working beta which people can use for a while until the full thing finally hits.

Does this mean that everyone will be accessing the trial run before Home hits version 1.0? We'll have to wait and see. More updates soon.
