The software scene for the PS3 might be brewing up something interesting. Over at the hardware side, the same can be said as well. We just found out that Sony has just filed a new patent for a brand new PlayStation 3 unit.Patent AK8CBEH110 was filed by the company last march 29, 2008. Going through several of the files posted at FCC's website, we encountered very juicy details regarding this upcoming console version. This particular unit will be coming with new Bluetooth and Wi-Fi modules. We're sure that these two will make you mouths water, in case you're having connectivity problems. As for the other details, so far nothing else has been released due to a confidentiality agreement. When it does break out, we'll keep you notified about it. So do check up on our site for that. |

» My Bluetooth Issues
I've noticed when I have problems with my PS3 controller connection is more frequent when I am using my wireless headphones which are 2.4GHz. Not always but at times.

This would be great. Nevertheless I would be pissed, because my PS3 isn't even a half-year old.

i find that the 802.11g is efficient. I still yet to find the maximum megabytes per second with an 8mb connection.
Bluetooth connection is fine atm

besides for the range you get. wireless g has enough speed. its everyones bandwidth that is the problem. wireless n isnt going to help someone with DSL.

Those using their PCs as media servers need the extra speed in their home networks. High definition files being streamed from PCs over a Wireless G network can sometimes start to skip. If the PS3 is truely being marketed as a multimedia platform, not just a game system, this is a much needed update.
