In an interview during the Tokyo Game Show, Phil Harrison talks about a couple of things about the PlayStation 3. Some of the more notable things he discussed were about Heavenly Sword's relatively short gameplay time and Lair's SIXAXIS controls.

On Heavenly Sword's short gameplay time, Harrison expresses how the story has been well told and well produced. People enjoy the experience and the quality so "we shouldn't criticize a game for being a story, which has an arc with a beginning, a middle, and an end."

He also clarifies that Lair's decision to require the SIXAXIS controls weren't mandated by Sony. He explains:

We've always said all along that the use of the SIXAXIS is something that should be decided by the developer in tune with their creative vision for the game, so it's not something we would mandate.

Watch the rest of the video to hear Harrison's take on the PlayStation Home, Blu-ray, and other PS3 games like Eye of Judgment.

 » well done

dudes got some good points in what he says. when you watch the heavenly sword videos they mention that they had an epic movie in mind when making the game. although i dont doubt that the game has the 20-40 hours people are used to im sure it would take a bit longer to beat the entire game for a normal game. ie not a basement that knows every hack and glitch in the game
i havent played layer before so i cant comment on the sixaxis but all of the other game i played that used it made the function optional.

 » about Lair and stuff

Lair is like 80% sixaxis. Its not an option. You controller like some of the characters with SIXAXIS which is pretty neat and smooth. Some people don't know how to use it correctly though, still. I do like the way he speaks, very well done
