I just love classic games in definitely-non-classic graphics, don't you? Watch as the classic Gradius puts on a show in LittleBigPlanet.

It's basically the same game themed along with LBP's fun-and-wholesome look. It's so wholesome that the ship is actually armed with non-lethal rubber mat tiles (or at least that's what they look like).

Very impressive. So many possibilities, can't wait to see what people will come up with.

That was ridiculously awesome! There is just one thing I can't figure out. Ok, he or she, i believe, is holding the space ship while using the jetpack, but how did they control the shooting? (I can't read Japanese or whatever that was :P)

 » My guess

looks like they were surrounded by a sponge, and when they hit R1 it activated a grab switch connected to an emmitter which spawned the glass that shot out

So they might have not been able to get out of the sponge and they were pushing it with their bodies w/ out grabbing on to it unless they wanted to shoot.

My goodness it must be a slow news day. Especially since I doubt you'd consider this news...its just a level.

 » what?

congrats

thats all tat can be said

while its very smarty done, just like i said youd get plenty of levels

is it really all that addictive, i doubt it
maybe the whole game needs a speedup

anyway if we wanted totally new games, would the best way not be to leave it up to actually developers, and incorporate some kind of engine, so we can make our own games with alot less limits
and if your saying these lets anyone make their own game

so what the years of computer language development is suddenly wiped out by this fantastic game i doubt it

whats wrong with computer language thats what i want to know

also remember sony may not be willing to license a game which will effectively enable homebrew, because it could result in losses with games such as

Guitar Hero: with drums and mic, saga XX^2-treme

which are quite easily replicated by a decent developer
so sony is gonna limit it plenty, the game isnt revolutionary its not next gen

right now, yes its the best we may have at the moment, but the bottom line is its nothing great

its a fad and will slowly disappear into nothing, and will turn out media molecules aspirations for the story (magazine etc) will run it into the ground
