Gran Turismo 5: Prologue - Image 1

Don't expect the updates to stop even if Gran Turismo 5: Prologue has already been released for the PlayStation Store. Over at PlayStation Day '08, Sony has just confirmed their collaboration with Nissan to offer Gran Turismo Academy.

Sony Computer Entertainment of Europe (SCEE) head David Reeves dubs Gran Turismo Academy as the "ultimate competitive driving test." Details are still hazy about the mechanics of the contest. We do know for a fact though that two very lucky people will get picked.

What's in store for the winners? A rigorous four-month racing tutorial where they won't be holding PS3 controllers all day - real cars will be involved. This training will culminate in a 24-hour race in Dubai which is slated for January 2009.

Interested? Reeves mentions that Gran Turismo Academy will start on May 23 on the PlayStation Network. Stay tuned here at QJ.NET as we deliver the latest updates. In the meantime, you may want to check Everything You Need to Know about Gran Turismo 5: Prologue.
