PlayStation Network: more than 8 million downloads - Image 1 If you're always interested with what's new on Sony's PlayStation Network, then this article is definifitely good news. The company has just made it known that its online service has just surpassed eight million downloads.

Aside from this whopping number, Sony also added that the PSN has now more than three million registered accounts.

With this latest feat that Sony has achieved, Jack Tretton had this to say about it: "Coming off a great holiday sales season we see strong momentum behind PS3 in 2008, and feel confident about the year ahead."

In addition to what Tretton mentioned, he also added,

We have Blu-ray emerging as the de facto high def standard, the developer community is hitting their stride, consumers are recognising the tremendous value and innovative services such as PlayStation Home are all in the works, so this is definitely shaping up to be a breakthrough year for us


Things are definitely looking up for Sony this year. This could actually be a hint of the things that Sony could achieve this year. Better keep your eyes glued to our site as we will be bringing in more news about the developments happening with the company.
