Ó

can't wait to be king - Image 1Everything sure seems to be going according to plan for the European release of Sony's PS3. We've heard of quite a bunch of launch titles already for the PlayStation Network, and there's definitely more coming your way.

Confirming the seven downloadable titles to be up and about Europe's PlayStation Network, this sure is a golden sign that there really is no stopping the PS3 from landing in that part of the world now.

Here's the list of titles coming out. Keep your fingers crossed, cos your personal faves just might be on this first wave. If not, well then, there's still no reason to pout, 'cos we're definitely certain this won't be the last of them headed your way.

March
Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection - March 23 - £6.99 (US$ 9.20)
Blast Factor - March 23 - £3.49 (US$ 4.60)
Gran Turismo HD - March 23 (free)
Super Rub-A-Dub - March 30 - (price TBA)

April
flOw - April 6 (price TBA)
Go! Sudoku - April 13 (price TBA)
Go! Puzzle - April 20 (price TBA)

There's also word that you may very well expect Lemmings, Gripshift and Calling All Cars to be paying courtesy calls to the Euro PSN in the near future.

» Is that coffee I smell Sony?

My whole being shudders in anticipatation at the news of playing these fine titles.

On the other hand NO NO NO NO NO! I pay serious money to play games that would make a Zx wince.

Sony's sense of humour is as ironic as its PS3 game list.

Why wouldn't a European just create an American profile and download Flow which is already released here. I can do this with Japanese downloads. Of course since I can't understand Japanese the free games seem stupid.

 » Download Flow WHY ?

Have you seen the SLOWDOWN in FLOW ?also why bother its free on the PC isnt it?..

 » Flow

Sorry to use a specific game. I just meant games that are already released in the US.

never saw a pinch of slowdown. Maybe I was just lucky.

slowdown in flOw?

wow, disinformation and FUD strike again!

i've experienced no slowdown in flOw whatsoever. in fact, all the PS3 games i have and play regularly have not had any slowdown issues (Virtua Fighter 5, Resistance, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, and PSN games).

something tells me you've never actually played a PS3.

and after playing the PSN version of flOw, i can never go back to the PC version. ever.

I have flOw and on the forth critter there is slowdown when you seem to go up or down a level not a biggie but a little distracting. But he is wrong about playing the PC one over the PS3 one the tilt controls are awesome and the rest of the levels play great.

 » Flow not slow

I've played Flow quite a bit on my PS3 (certainly more than I expected to). Zero slowdown. Now, it does gracefully SLIDE into the deeper or closer level, which is as designed. Also, once you use the motion controls, see it in full screen 1080p and 5.1 surround, playing the freebie PC version via the internet is like the difference between playing a 2-d card game like Solitaire in Windows vs playing a 3d Texas Hold em title on a game console. Same game? --Yes, at a basic level. Same experience? --Absolutely not.
