Not the best video content update we've seen on the PlayStation Network, but this batch does have a few aces up its sleeve. For one, the movie adaptation of the 1997 Arthur Golden novel, Memoirs of a Geisha is in the mix. If you're looking for a tougher Asian hottie, then The Legend of Chun Li might fit the bill nicely. And with Ice Age 3 now showing, there's a few shorts and a trailer here to tide you over just in case you haven't gone to see it yet.

A couple of months ago, we had a report from CNET saying that Sony had been talking to some recording industry types about providing downloadable music for the PSP through the PlayStation Network. Now that rumors of PS Cloud being a social networking tool has been debunked, the latest from the mill alleges that it's actually for this music service.

A new DLC pack is headed for the Guitar Hero: World Tour (360, PS3, Wii), and this time, it's for all the punk rockers in all of us. Even the name of the pack is punk-sounding, with Epitaph Punk-O-Rama Track Pack as the title. Obviously, as you may also see from the name, it's all about the Epitaph artists. List after the jump.

Following the EU PS Store Update is this cool new Playlists update from VidZone. The new playlists offer yet again another wide variety of music for discerning fans all over. Included for this update's menu would be "BBQ Music", "90s", "Metal Anthems", "Dizzie Rascal", and "Hot New Videos".

And it's a hefty one to serve you fine too, in time for the 4th of July weekend. The Playstation Store update for Europe is now available. This week, you have three excellent PSN games that includes the PS3 exclusive Punisher: No Mercy, an old school classic James Pond: Robocod, the massive PSP hit game Monster Hunter Freedom Unite plus four other PSP games, new add-on contents for MotorStorm: Pacific Rift, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10, LittleBigPlanet  and more.

Electronic Arts have announced that the critically acclaimed first-person shooter multiplayer game Battlefield 1943 will be available on July 8 on Xbox Live marketplace for 1200 MS points and on July 9 on the Playstation Network for US$ 15.00.

Beginning tomorrow, on July 2nd, European gamers will be able to download and enjoy Boolat Games' latest PSN offering, topatoi. This is a new arcade platformer starring the brave explorer Raph and his friends.

"When a developer succeeds in making an acclaimed title," writes PSN executive producer Kevin Funichi, " the pressure is on to repeat that success. But making sequels isn’t easy. Change too much, and you risk alienating fans of the original title. Change too little, and you’ll be criticized by gamers who want something new." That is just one among the many issues that the devs had to address, so you bet the next Qore episode would be one to watch.

Capcom is showering more love onto Sony's PlayStation consoles. Well, the PS3 and PSP anyway. They've announced that they'll be rolling out more downloadable classics on the PlayStation Store over the next few months.
