LocoRoco PS3 screenshot - Image 1A couple of months ago, there was heavy speculation that Tsutomu Kouno's LocoRoco game for the PSP was getting ready to roll into the handheld console's bigger kin, the PlayStation 3.

We'll be updating with some good news as Sony confirmed at the PlayStation Premier in Tokyo that a LocoRoco game is indeed being readied as a PlayStation Network download. That screenshot to the right should give an idea of how it look.

The PS3 port for the game has been dubbed Buu Buu Cocoreccho! by LocoRoco and is expected to make full use of the SIXAXIS controller's motion-sensitivity. Content-wise, it's expected to carry 200 LocoRoco characters. Sony hasn't revealed any release date details on this latest installment to the LocoRoco franchise, although they say it's already 95% complete. We'll get back to you in case we pick up more news.
