PlayStation Store - Image 1If this rumor turns out to be true, then this may be a part of Sony's future plans for their online service: word is out that Sony's PlayStation Store will get its much-needed interface overhaul in April. The information supposedly leaked out from a retailer conference, which also hinted that the purported PlayStation Store revamp will make it look slightly like the sleek SingStore.

According to this tidbit, PlayStation Store's graphical makeover will be implemented the same time Gran Turismo 5 Prologue launches this coming April 15. The graphics change will also affect the navigation menu as well, which is supposed to be replaced by icons placed at the bottom of the page.

Treat this as a rumor for now, of course, until we get confirmation from Sony themselves (or until we see the interface change take effect). Stay tuned for more updates!

Hope its true. I dont know if its just me but I get kind of a different feeling using my PS3 now knowing about Mgs4/Mgo (beta) and all these other announcements, I wouldnt mind getting a new feeling to the PSstore also. Change is always good obviously if its improved.

I used the singstart style for a PS3 wallpaper project a while ago... wonder if the store will end up looking sorta like this:

 » Meh.

I really don't care what the store looks like as long as I have good content to download. Once HOME is released I will be using that to download content rather than the PSN store anyways (seeing as you can access it through HOME or without even using HOME).

That we get QUALITY games with this. With the soon to be take over of take two by the "evil empire" good games are going to be harder to come by.

Explain to me what that has to do with games on the PS Store, then get back to me.

» We Need More PSN Games

I wish they had more games on a regular basis. I would like to see some 1080p arcade style shooters, puzzle games or platformers and more PSOne games more frequently. Content is more important. We're a year into this and still lacking on good PSN games.

 » well...

if people buy the bionic commando the companies will start to bring the classics to the store like in the 360... about the PSN games I think is more than ok... love those games... and PSone games yes we need more... japan have a lot and we don't...

Now on topic... I will love to see the store like the singstore really... easy to search, don't look like a mess... and is more pretty in my opinion... I hope this is true...

One of my biggest griefs on the ps3 was the store. Nothing wrong with a good remap... hopefully it wont be flash based...
