it's amazing to what extremes can this big companies go to get even more money.
on one side, they are fighting everyday against homebrew and when it comes to save some money, they deny everything and say the opposite...
i just hope that with the huge advances in technology, we could be able to choose more and buy other great console brands, that are not just the "big ones".
i love playing, but i hate having to choose only between Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony and nothing else.
it would be great to see a mega powerfull console based on the idea of the GP2X, but not portable...

Mate, I know what them things are for buddy, i used to Build and Sell Computers for a few years, What I'm saying is that YES, The PS3 needs a Hard Drive and Extra Ram, But Sony should throw that in from the start, The PS3 has 256MB DDR3 VRAM and a 20/60GB Harddrive, Now that is all it should need. The PS3 is a computer... in fact it beats all computers today and even super computers. There sould be a new name for it or you could just say best super computer in the world. They say this statement and fact becasue of Cell inside the PS3. Cell beats all other cpus out there by far and even better in some to alot of ways at doing what a gpu/video card does like ray tracing/ray casting.
But for what it cant do like a gpu/video card that where the RSX comes in and I beileve there a big surpise for the final RSX specs. I will go as far to say it will be the best gpu ever and beat all other gpus and video cards till something can top it and when that happens who cares becasue Cell wont be in ruglar computers but just high end pcs and no pc game will be made with useing Cell on a pc and also a better video card in a pc cant beat ps3 even stll becasue of Cell and becasue of Cell works 100% with the gpu (RSX). No pc cpu works like Cell how it can work with the gpu in so many ways.
Also Sony gave alway there new controller for PS3 and what new about it becasue that just alittle surpise and how the PS3 got bigger and have more air holes in it and little stuff like that and like how there gonna use heat pipe lines and stuff. The big news and surpise will be close to when the PS3 comes out and that will be at TGS and showing off the final RSX specs.
And I believe the RSX will use spes like Cell or SMES. But I think it will be spes that will read/write to the spes in Cell like how Cell already can to the RSX.
Also never forget PS3 will be faster then computers also.
I say this becasue of the fact it dont have to deal with everything a pc have to deal with all at once.

It can do anything that a pc can do (but I will say even better and faster). Even if PS3 not totally upgradeable like computers are that does not mean it is not a computer.

So this also all means if you get a hdtv when they come out and have hdmi 1.3 input your gonna have a sharper, better, graphics picture on it then you would on a computer montior.
Hdtvs and hdmi 1.3 and so on for what comes after it will and I say even right now have better picture then any monitor gives you and not limited to size.
But for me I be sticking to a 20' mosh likeiy.

And all the games you seen for PS3 right now as in in videos/pictures ever since e3 2005 and up to now you will see way better graphics by far then any thing your seeing now in every 6 months or so basicy lol but like as the yrs. go by you will see totally better graphics games on the PS3 becasue ppl will get use to working with Cell and find out what is best for whatever to make the game faster, better looking, and stuff. Also will get to know RSx more and then ya got ppl all the time getting better with makeing next gen game engines it only gets better and better from now on.
And the best thing is you dont have to buy a new video card every time a better looking game comes out or a new cpu... but it basicy new video card lol.
You dont have to upgrade until PS4, lol. Consoles are so takeing over pcs in basicy everyway but the 100% way out side of Cell and RSX kicking a$$ and other stuff on PS3 like useing heat pipes and hdmi 1.3 lol... is beating the crap out of pcs in the gameing world.
Pc gameing will mosh likeiy die when PS4 and other consoles come out. I mean yeah there stll ppl palying pc games and all but there are way more ppl with a life that just for there free time like to sit in a chair or lay on a bed and turn on there console and tv and pop in a game.
There way more console gamers if ya ask me lol. I see pc gameing dieing. But for one reason I dont want pc gameing dieing is becasue pc grows in video cards, cpus, hard drives, and other stuff and a other good reason is becasue of new game engines.
But ya get new game engines with console games too lol. Maybe pc gameing will die but if so I think that might mean nvidia and ati would stop makeing video cards and veeryone else would too then for PS4 what video card they use... lol ok maybe pc gameing wont die but there way more playing on a console lol.
We stll need pc gameing jsut for new video cards and new cpus. But seeing how I beileve RSX owns all gpus/video cards and Cell beating the crap out of every cpu out there or even in the works it looks like PS3 did'nt get there cpu from pcs but just brand new totally made by ibm, sony, and tohisba. Sorry I know I spelled that wrong lol.
