Wow, ps3 is failing more and more each week. I havent seen a console fail this hard since the Dreamcast...
ur still alive!!! good for u!!!!
Surely talking to yourself is not a good sign by anyones standards. Even in an online world. I would seek a DR.
PS3 is finished..
Im selling my PS3 before it becomes worthless.
If you want to sell it I can offer 250-300 dollars (depending on the hd). For more information my messenger e-mail is wfuentes@msn.com and my mailing e-mail is anticlans@hotmail.com
Buy a xbox360, I may buy it (unless I find a cheap GTX 8800 graphics card for my pc) and friends of mine have the 360 and one the ps3 and I gotta say sony did something very dissappointing which was to lie to us about the ps3 being super powerful. I compared the 360 graphics and ps3 graphics and the 360 graphics are a bit superior, not only that but online play is better (although that part I find unuseful because all the good games with online capability are released for the pc).

Look, I love MS and don't care much for Sony anymore, but really, don't spend too much time looking into comparing the graphics just by playing the same games on both consoles, it's apparent from that message you really have no clue how this stuff works. A lot of factors could be making the 360 versions of games looking better, and I mean A LOT.
Don't waste your time, and don't come to uneducated conclusions like that.
wow...
this is ridiculous sony better step it up and give us some games or something or else im just going to sell my console everyday my friends at school talk about all these games they play on their 360s it makes me sad that i dont have anything to play im gonna give sony two more weeks and if there isnt any good games out or something im gonna get my dad to take me up to the store and exchange it for a 360 at least then i will have something to play instead of waiting waiting waiting i mean i love sony but this is just too much no wonder why its in last place and it will probably stay there god im sad now
You should exchange man (and learn how to use a period lol). I own all three consoles (for those who dont believe me, http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y9/HardToExist/myconsoles.jpg)and the PS3 is the one I play the least. Sure, its gonna have some great games (which is why I bought it in the first place), but they wont be around for at least another six months. If you buy an Xbox 360 then at least you will have many great games to experience NOW instead of having to wait till later just to play something worthwile. The only thing youre really going to be losing is the Bluray player, and unless youre a movie buff (which judging by your post Id say youre not) then its really not that big of a sacrifice to make. Make the switch, play with your friends, play with 8 million other people!! Good luck bro.
and the worst is that this figure is likely to have a chain reaction and it's hard to break like an evil circle. Console who sells better will have more developer developing game for it and more games could only means, better sales! Unless sony do something very significant i doubt this figure will ever change even 2 years from now
I've still got a ton of PS2 games that I have yet to play. I'm buying a PS3 sometime in the next 2-3 weeks because I want to get one that still has the full load of PS2 hardware included so I don't have to worry as much about compatibility with my current game library. This way, I can still play my PS2 games that I haven't started or finished yet while I'm waiting for some good PS3 games to arrive later this year. And when I'm not gaming, I can use it to watch a BluRay movie or crunch some work units on Folding @ Home. If you're ditching your system because of some pie charts, you're being a little short-sighted, I think.
BTW, anyone know how much used 60GB PS3's are going for at places like Gamestop?
Where's the PS2 on this chart? Why is it not included? Without it, it's painting a worse picture for Sony than it really is.
Lastly, one more bullet point for why I'm buying a PS3. My PS2 is getting on in age. Had it since a month or two after they launched. One of my controller ports sometimes gets a little wonky after someone tripped over a controller cord one time and pulled the console off the entertainment center and it fell on the wood floor. At this point, I don't see a good reason for buying a replacement PS2. It's a good time to upgrade for me.
Its a next-gen chart, so even though the PS2 is leading sales right now, its not included in next-gen charts.
AoxomamoxoA is right my friend do that is and a good recommendation for u and all who have a ps3
I own a PS3, and I own 9 games for it. Motorstorm, Oblivion, FEAR, Resistance, Madden 07, Full Auto 2, Untold Legends DK, NFS Carbon, and Virtua Fighter. By the way, you can always just buy a 360 and keep your PS3. Because you'll likely down the road want to buy another one, because thats when more games will be coming out. LAIR, Ninja Gaiden Sigma arent suppose to be released until the next couple months. Assassins Creed, MGS4, Hevenly Sword, etc. Arent suppose to be released until the end of the year. Those are some of the highly anticipated games for the PS3. I am currently playing FEAR, Oblivion, Resistance, and Motorstorm. I find time for all 4 games.
how do you find time to play oblivion and... anything else? that takes ALL my time....
I keep telling myself "ok, I need to get re-good at Resistance so I don't suck anymore..... in a little bit...." I do a couple quests, get lost exploring, get to a town, and save, then I'm ready to play resistance, except now it's 4 in the morning. *cries*
I agree. In a couple of months you will want your PS3 once again. If you can't find anything right now to play, then go ahead and get the 360, but the PS3 will occupy a lot of my time in the coming months
That's what I did, purchased both. They're both fun systems with their own strengths and AAA titles. Good times ahead for both.
And really, if you sold it back, you'd end up losing money, so might as well just wait until the PS3 picks up some more speed. if you have a 360 there's really nothing to worry about, it has an extensive library of games right now.
But let's not leave out the Wii here, it has some excellent games like Twilight Princess, Sonic and the Secret Rings and more recently, Super Paper Mario. It's got some great titles coming in the next year - Metroid Prime 3, Super Mario Galaxy, and of course Smash Bros Brawl. It's price is great as well.
dear god there nothing wrong with this, 6.4% in well under 2 months of the ps3 release date which is around right. its still got a full year yet. give it that chance and your see the ps3 well over 25%.
i didn't get a ps2 until 6/7 months after the release date due to the price as soon as it dropped mum got me one for xmas lol
Yeaaa, but I thought there were a whole bunch of people waiting for a PS3, or at least thats the impression you ps3 fans gave off. What happened to all those people who were waiting for the ps3? Oh thats right, they bought 360s instead. Go figure...
no hurry, still have som ps2 games to finish and i'll wait for the ps3 games i want to play. if there is a price cut on the way thats a bonus.. i will probably buy it in october..
GO SONY. You've got to loose this battle. Now hurry up and do it so Micro$oft can win.
WOWOWOWOH
Why should you buy such a rushed product like the X360? It's exactly like vista! If it were released 3-4 months later, all the bugs would've been ironed out. Microsoft just rushed the 360 because they wanted a bigger share of the market, which they didn't get.
More people will buy PS3 once there is a price drop and some truly outstanding games.
Thing is, that's going to take a year if not more.
In which case you can pay less for the same experience, minus a couple exclusives, but get more games right now and much more on the way VERY soon....by getting a 360....
I'll no doubt get a PS3, in about 1.5 years...
By the time the price drop and any good games come out for the PS3 it will be to risky to buy as the next round of next gen consoles wont be far off.
Why are people not JUMPING UP this bad news for PS3 owners?, they jump up every little negative thing they see for the 360, so press the JUMP IT UP BUTTON...
Hey look things do come in circles...Nintendo w/ the DS and Wii is th once agian the market leader. The other companies aren't even close to Nintendo's sales. I might still 360 just because it's hands down got the best library, even though 90% of 360 games are first-person shooters, which for someone like me might get old fast. Then the Jaguar...uuuh I mean PS3.
Right then, if 90% of its library is FPS games then you wont mind listing me about of the 50 FPS games that are out on it.
don't talk about the jaguar like that! I loved my jaguar, it had like 3 awesome games!
I have a PS3, 360, and a wii. I play with my 360 the most since its got a constant flow of good games coming out every month and a bunch of classic games that I always go back to. I play with the wii the second most since it usually has about one or two games a month that I usually get completely engrossed in (e.g Zelda, Paper Mario, Godfather). The PS3 on the other hand, i hardly play at all. When I first got it, I played it for a week straight without touching any other console... but then I beat Resistance. Since then, not one game has come out that holds my attention. I already had oblivion for the 360, so buying the expanssion for a few dollars seemed like more sense then buying the game over for the PS3 for 70$. Motorstorm I didnt like that much at all and all the other exclusive games so far have been underwhelming. The only game I play right now on my PS3 is God of war 2, a PS2 game.
I'm sure in six months my PS3 will be getting more play time but right now, its just a risky investment. I dont care for blueray movies (i download all the movies I want to watch) and i'm not to big on the whole PS home idea. I think in the greater scheme of things Sony realizes they are going to lag behind in the beginning and eventually rise up. But with the bad press and low numbers exhibited every month I'm starting to think sony might have under estimated the market. I don't think anyone expected the Wii to take off as much as it did and I dont think sony expected Microsoft to come out with another 360 with HDMI and twice the storage capacity as the PS3. These factors alone are driving sony sales down under. Just look at it this way, if the nintendo wii did not exisit then the PS3 would not be in trouble. On the same keal of things, if the 360 did not exisit then the PS3 would not be in trouble. I think what Sony desperately needs is for one of its competitors to take a plunge in sales. But as the figures have been showing, this does not seem to be anywhere on the horizon.
Keep the PS3 if you have enough money to pay for a 360 or a wii. Thats the best advice I can give. If your looking to buy a PS3, same advice as above. Sorry if this gets anyone pissed off, if it does I suggest aquiring more enjoyment from outside of the blog.
Hmm....PS3 is in last....Ray Charles could've seen that coming. Good for Nintendo, glad to see they're besting Sony. As for the 360, it's expected, it's a good system and seeing as how a lot of games will be for both PS3 and 360 now, what's the point of paying through the nose for an overrated glitchy console?
mmmm tasty pie
Nintendo always wins and there always the underdog haha
Microsoft has the most powerful platform again, after doing a little research sony lied in their press release when ps3 was first shown back in 2005 claiming over 2 teraflops, the ps3 is less than 6 gigaflops, the 360 is the first game console released to reach 1 teraflop, and the polygon power for the ps3 which sony never released is 333 million polygons per second while 360 as some already know is 500 million polygons per second, with all of that said the ps3 will still produce amazing looking games, below are the specs for the ps3 GPU.
Here are the official RSX specs,
Looks like the RSX does more Shader Operations than the Xenos. The RSX is pretty strong!
