as a person who plays a lot of 360 games I can recognize these achievements as being COMPLETELY s2pid o_O

Share: Play 150 community levels, tag 50 community levels and heart 10 community levels

Wow, I'm glad these devs didn't try to do something like that for people's gamercards> hey the ps3 is getting achievements, but why not a gamertag?

we

 » um

PS3 has had it's "gamertag" since the day PS3 came out

   Re: Artemisk - 2008-09-19
 » ?

This game is all about connectivity and distribution. I for one like the achievements(trophies). I think you're being a bit biased because of the fact that you played too many 360 games. These are your standard "complete level achievements" with a few secret achievements. If you want some "s2pid" achievements go play GRAW on your 360. Plus it seems you're more worried about gaining points than actually playing the game. They aren't forcing you to do any of the achievements, they're just extras for PLAYING THE GAME.

   Re: Izuna - 2008-09-19

Achievements are always pointless, gamerscore isn't even something that most gamers should ever care about- however this is trying to be like the 360's achievs- so the same ground philosophy applies.

There are infact bad achievements:
Talkative: Post a comment on a community level
That don't have any difficulty or meaning behind them, take for example "doesn't matter if it is 360 or PS3" you should have achievements similar to how Crackdown does- makes you play the game different, or in most games it gives you something to boast about.

Seems whenever I saw something about the 360, it is like I am trying to down-play the PS3 by doing it, I'm talking about the game, not the system. Just keep these away from the Gamercard, otherwise it will be like AVATAR or QUAKE IV, where people don't or do buy the game because of the achievements.
Sad I know but, devs shouldn't support how these people think, I'm sure there are *Trophy* whores and I am SURE they will won't think these are the best ideas ever.

Please, like EVERY 360 game has amazing achievements...

 » Trophies

Down-play on PS3? Seriously achievements are nothing. If you want, you can play your games on 360, take a photo in NHL, Jump in Halo, crash your car in forza and you've got gamerscore for this... This is just a number to throw to people and now you can 'pretend' to be a real gamer. PS3 understood and divided it in categories, see how many people got Platinium trophies, Gold or even some silver are really hard to get. So if I see your PS3 kind of 'gamertag' online, I can say 'hey, you've got a nice player level, but you just had it with your bronze trophies, which mean you are not a gamer.

 » need help :(

well, i need help for WARHAWK, i know this is the most wrong place to post it, but im on my PS3 now, and i can't acces WARHAWK website nor EU-playstation website (forums)..

ehmm, well in warhawk im "1st class airman", an i actually got enough point to level up to "sergent", BUT i need to complete i little task..
the task is called "warhawk recruiting", it tells you to get "1 troop kill, 1 vehicle kill and 4 minutes in an aircraft" which i actually did.. though im confused when just says "1 troop kill", does it then need to be troop-troop, air-troop or vehicle-troop??

i actually managed to kill ALL 3 different states, WITH all 3 different state + the 4 minutes in an aircraft.... BUT i still don't got my "badge", the thing that say i completed that task... what wrong with it?? why doesnt it work??

   by ISOHaven - 2008-09-19
 » WTF!?!?!?!?!

In the end, everyone gets over "badges" and go back to just playing the games.

» It's about having fun guys

Yes some trophies are pointless to have (like some xbox360 achievements :D!) but isn't it all about fun?

"Oh damn I said fun and not life & commitment, who will shoot me now?"

I have a 360 and a PS3 and all games I play are for myself to have fun and not for others to brag about. Think about it or stop playing games if you don't have fun ;)
