PES 2008 - Image 1QJ.NET user Timvasvi tipped us off on an interesting news bit. Konami has released the much-needed patch for Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 (Sony PlayStation 3 version). However, some of the problems that plagued the game seem to still be present.

According to the forums at PES Fansite, PES 2008 players are prompted by the game on load that there's a new patch available for download. The update is as large as 130MB, so patching up would definitely take a while. Upon completion of the download, the fix applies itself automatically.

While no changelog has been sent out, the noticeable improvements have a lot to do with the frame rate. Some lag issues, however still persist. Timvasvi says he's yet to try PES 2008's online play with the new patch in place. We'll give you an update once we find out more.

Thanks to Timvasvi for the tip!
