Just when we were getting really hyped up for Sierra Entertainment's Prototype (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC), the studio has announced that the game's release has been pushed back to next year. Aw dang. Seeing as how the game looks really great from the gameplay videos we've seen though, let's keep the whining at a minimum. Better a late great game than an early sucky one. Here's what Sierra had to say about the delay: Since its announcement, Prototype has been regarded by many as groundbreaking and taking the open-world genre in new directions, and in the simplest explanation possible, we need more time to deliver the game the team initially set out to create. Buy: [Prototype (PS3), (Xbox 360), (PC)] |

» Wow!
This game does look pretty cool with the trailers thats been released so far. To bad we have to wait. So many games anyhow. We won't miss out that much, but I hope when it's released, it will be another must play experience.

» with a lot of games this year...
it's better for them to release it to the next year and make it better looking and bug free and maybe to add some new things in it.

"Better a late great game than an early sucky one."
In the end this game will more than likely end up being a sucky one anyways. The only thing that is happening hear is that you don't get to find out how bad it is until next year.

It's only ground breaking cause you can literally break the ground with one move but it's not taking the open-world genre in new directions. It's just doing the same old thing with a different story & character.

I'm guessing they're gona make a detailed environment but the city is going to be empty giving the player no reason to wana explore the city.. or there will be something stupid like hidden flags that you have to find
I just hope it's not another Assassins Creed. I was so disappointed with that game
