The Outsider - Image 1It's been a while since we last heard anything about Frontier Development's long in development techno thriller, The Outsider (PS3, 360, PC). Things are set to change however, as we've received word that the David Braben led project has signed a publisher, exactly who the publisher is will be announced in the very near future.

The Outsider promises a sophistimacated non-linear, player directed storyline that affords each gamer totally unique experiences. Set against a living breathing backdrop of present-day Washington DC, gamers start out as a CIA agent suddenly on the wrong side of the law, where the story goes from here is up to you.

It sounds like Frontier aren't shying away from ambition, and Braben's made some bold statements in the past about the state of "next-gen" games.

We'll be keeping a weather eye open and as soon as we know who the publisher is, we'll let y'all know, in the mean time keep yer fingers crossed that Braben delivers something special.
