Puzzleholics rejoice: Echochrome to carry a level editor - Image 1

Subtle, bizarre, minimalistic. Just some of the descriptions that have been used to describe Sony Computer Entertainment Japan's upcoming puzzle platformer for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable, Echochrome. And thanks to a recent play-through by Stephen Totilo of the MTV site, we've managed to uncover a couple of more game details the fans may fancy picking up.

The game will reportedly carry a level editor. Consider this your opportunity to prove that like its Japanese developers, you too have the demented creativity that's just begging to turn your unsuspecting friend's senses topsy-turvy. The player's custom levels will also be sharable online, although no details have been stated on how this will be handled.

Echochrome's upcoming release in Japan is further expected to be available for both the PSP, and the PlayStation 3 (via PSN). The North America release scheduled for spring is currently set to be available via PlayStation Network only.

 » Finally!

Some decent innovation in a puzzle game! It's been a while... and I think we're more than ready for it.
