This is definitely the game I've been looking forward to getting with the launch of the PS3 ever since I found out it was a launch title. Sounds incredibly good.
Also, because I couldn't resist:
"At certain heat levels a base's defenses will temporarily go down, allowing the opposing team to get inside and deal major damage."
Does that mean we can hit them in their weakpoint for MASSIVE DAMAGE?
This is definitely the game I've been looking forward to getting with the launch of the PS3 ever since I found out it was a launch title. Sounds incredibly good.
Also, because I couldn't resist:

i can't wait for this game, but mainly for the single player campaign, as i'm not that into competitive online play (too many douchebags), but 40 players is very impressive. i'd give it a try, just to see how much fun it is on that scale. as a note, i did play it competitively at E3, and it was fun, but again, i'm just not into that sort of gameplay. i guess i'm just a single or co-op kind of guy.
i'm just waiting for the obligatory negative comments coming from fanboys of certain *other* consoles.

take for example PD0 with 32 players, forgetting gameplay, graphics, whatever, having 32 people is just chaotic most of the time, and the maps on that game can get HUGE. Sometimes its executed nicely, other times it's not.
I'm wary of this title as it is now, it could turn out great, or just another killzone.

This is cool, lol. Wait till ya see games on PS3 with 64 players online. But hey it PS3 and next gen so I think some to alot of games will even have more then 64 players online, lol.

Everyone who is interested in this game the new PSM has a 13 page preview of this game with lots of dev. commentary and interviews. Very good read. Lots of awesome pics too. This game is gunna be insane. Also they will be using the tilt functionality in there game. If one of the creatures grabs you you you tilt the controller left and right fast so you break free and it doesnt bite you. There is a lot more things like that they are doing with the controller but they are keeping the rest of it under raps.
