Codemasters' Race Driver: Grid Xbox 360, PS3 - Image 1Codemasters has revealed that a localized Japanese version of Race Driver: GRID (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) is currently being developed. In addition, this title is expected to be released some time later this year.

The press release revealed that both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game will be getting Japanese speech and text. No word yet on whether this version will be getting new tracks or features but it wouldn't surprise us if Codemasters slipped in a few extras for gamers in the region.

The localization of the game shouldn't really come as a surprise considering the game already has quite a number of Japanese specific content including Drift and Touge race events as well as various locations including Shibuya, Yokohama, and Haruna.
