Over the past few days, PlayStation 3 owners got the blues when it was rumored that Resident Evil 5 (PS3, Xbox 360) was going to be a timed exclusive for the Xbox 360. No need to feel down anymore because that buzz has thankfully been debunked.

Sven of the Capcom forums pacified what was becoming a tense scene as PS3 supporters lit up their boards. He wrote, "The assertion is false. RE5 is a multiplatform release that fits with our oft-stated cross-platform strategy."

It's hard to blame PS3 owners feeling a little bit salty with how Capcom's been treating the platform as of late. With the loss of Devil May Cry 4 exclusivity and Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix's beta exclusivity going to the Xbox 360, it's clear why some are getting a wee bit anxious.
