Remember that rumor about Insomniac Games developing the sequel to Resistance: Fall of Man? It was pretty hard to believe for some, but now more fuel is being thrown to the fire as another site reports some more details.

According to Ripten, they were tipped off by a reliable source that the sequel to Resistance: Fall of Man is now in its pre-alpha testing stages and strides are being made to take it further.

The source reveals that Sony is in the process of recruiting an army of game testers to put Resistance 2 on an acid test of sorts. No screenshots or other forms of evidence were displayed.

Resistance: Fall of Man is the Sony PlayStation 3's flagship launch shooting game. It sported high-quality graphics, frenetic action, and some controversial content that we're all too familiar with. A sequel is anticipated with hopes of Sony raising the bar even higher.
